WE CAN NOT TAKE OUR EYES OFF PAKISTAN

This week on the heels of Russia's invasion of Georgia a simmering hot spot may be heating up. President Musharraf has been forced to resign rather than face impeachment. Who cares, you may ask. What difference does it make who runs Pakistan?
 
Pakistan has nukes. Pakistan is right in the  middle of all the Muslim dominated "stans" including Afghanistan from where The Taliban and Al Qaeda cross back and forth at will. Since 911 When George Bush  basically gave Musharraf an offer he couldn't refuse, Pakistan has been a partner in the war on terror, if not a partner who probably is playing both sides. Get the picture?? a pretty muddled mess festering at a time of increased tensions with Russia, Iran, etc, etc.
 
 
Pakistan must get through the current turmoil resulting from the last election when Benazir Bhutto was assassinated. With the resignation of Musharraf, her widower is a top front runner to become President. In addition to all their obvious problems, Pakistan has the habit of electing leaders from a small stable of hack political families. Corruption is a way of life as in other countries in the area. So much for Religious values. 
 
America has it's eyes on an election for President and two conventions coming up. We are dealing with Russia-Georgia and trying to get Russia to withdraw . At any moment Isreal could decide now is the time to strike Iran before it gets nukes. We are dealing with high oil prices  - even a short lived oil embargo, or a natural disaster or sabatage in the mid East oil fields could cripple our economy. Continued high prices are wrecking the Air industry . Should prices reverse and go back up even higher than last month the Airline industry could be destroyed except for a very few offering flights to those wealthy enough to pay for the luxury.
 
The plate is very full, huh? Good time to put in the rookie, huh?? WRONG!!!! These are even more dangerous times than usual. It is my opinion that Pakistan just may become the number one or two international crisis facing us in the immediate future. A country with Nukes, and a large segment of it's population in favor of radical Islam and the likes of the Taliban and Al Qaeda hiding in its midst must be closely watched. Right now the world is like the Dyke with hole after hole needing to be plugged. As I write this Breaking news has developed where Russia announces it's reaction to the Missile Shield agreement between the U.S and Poland will go beyond diplomacy!! What does THAT mean...another hole..It needs our attention, BUT, We can not take our eyes off of Pakistan, mark my words!!

Barack Obama Kind Of Like Hurricain Fay

The predictions were ominous. The MSM sent their top guns to get ready for the arrival and aftermath. People all over the state were talking about it. Preparing, awaiting to see what would happen.
 
Yes, hurricain Fay was on her way. During the preliminaries, the "primaries" if you will, she scored hits on Puerto Rico, the Dominican, Cuba. Enough victories to get everyone's attention. Could this be...The next BIG one? The one we have been waiting for?
 
Anticipation grew and grew, and along with the media hype average people began to take notice, especially as she come off Cuba. What direction would she take?? At first it was supposed to be up the Gulf coast of Florida, or maybe out into the Gulf...NO WAIT, she started  to aim for Miami...NO, Ft Meyers, back and forth, flipping and flopping. Remind you of someone?
 
 BS Barack Obama came out of no where. dazzled the media, got the attention of ordinary people. He did damage in the primaries, knocking out opponent after opponent. He even destroyed the big prize, Hilary Clinton who was supposed to waltz her way to her entitled coronation.
 
Hurricains are fed by what? Hot air!  BS Obama's rise was caused by what? Hot Air!, lofty speeches that brought tingles to the legs of media types like Chris Mathews and caused some supporters to faint watching him speak. Obama continued on course to what pundants said would be sure victory....until...
until folks started to really look and see if he really was the BIG one, the one they had been waiting for. His strong eloquent delivery slowed in some areas, haltingness, stammering, hesitation..Hmm..could it be? could maybe like, he isn't what he was all cracked up to be. Flip Flops started just before landfall or The big event - the election. Issues beyond his conrol arose like wind shear knocking him off the course he had set for himself. Suddenly there was a rival storm and he aimed for the same course. He fought hard, made inroads. More and more people began to question, second guess, have buyer's remorse.
 
 TS Fay, the Hurricain that never was, finally came ashore this morning a mere tropical storm. Still a lot of wind and rain, still the potential to re-form but right now as I type here in Clearwater there is nothing!
 
Funny thing about wind and hot air. Once started it can not be controlled. Barack Obama is finding out what Fay did. Hype does not always translate into reality. Just ask President Al Gore, or President John Kerry....

CRY BABY LIBS CRYING FOUL?

I was not going to do a post today on the show down- hoe-down at Saddleback. I think I pretty much covered my take on the results in two posts. HOWEVER, We are learning that the Libs must be so shocked at McCain's performance that they are starting to accuse McCain of the possibility of cheating.
I, your humble Observer, can not resist commenting on this so I will. 
 
Apparently McCain was still enroute to the church during part of the first half of Obama's part of the program. While NO one has said McCain heard any of Obama's answers on radio, Libs and MSM types like Adrea Mitchel are putting out hints that some how that MAY have happened. The Lib Internet is also hyper-ventilating about this. 
 
First, I do not believe McCain OR Obama would cheat. Second both camps WERE given general info on topics that would come up. Not specific questions but topics, so all knew what to expect in general.
 
Even if you are a conspiracy nut like most Libs, what about the second 1/2 hour??? why was McCain Still running away with it? IF his first half performance was because he cheated, explain the second half that was just as good or better!
 
Democrats have a big problem. They apparently bought the wrong goods and now have buyer remorse. Too late to return for a new candidate, to give it to Hillary now would tear apart the Party and ensure a loss. At least with Obama they still have a shot at victory, though it is slipping away.
 
They can not accept that their messiah, their great leader, the greatest orator of our century could be loosing to a John McCain or any other Republican. There must be cheating!. Remember last Presidential election? One of Kerry's excuses was they could not get their message out!!. WHY? because of talk Radio and Fox News!!  Democrats can never believe that they loose BECAUSE THEY DID get their message out and it was rejected!
 
Claiming cheating now will only reinforce the weak, childish,whinning impression they and their canididate are already showing Americans!. Good for our side!

MORE THOUGHTS ON THE SHOW DOWN AT SADDLEBACK

Last night I was so fired up over McCain's awesome performance I started writing a post before it was even over. I wrote that McCain Hit a Grand Slam.
 
Having had the night and morning to think it over am I still as enthused??  Had I really witnessed maybe the best live performance by a Presidential candidate I had ever seen? was his performance as important as I thought it was? As good as I thought he was ? I have answered myself YES to all questions and then some!. Last night was one of those defining moments in a campaign. A moment pundants, scholars, politicians will look back on in the future. John McCain showed how to take the control of a campaign. He did it by showing a wide depth and breadth of all the issues, even giving more of an answer than was called for. He was as decisive as anyone could hope for. Take the question When does life begin. Answer At conception. Period, no heming and hawing like Obama. Or how about Is evil real and what do we do about it. His answer? You defeat it, AND then went on to define it as Islamo terrorism.  You could see his eyes light up and he practically jumped at giving the answer to a question on what was an example of a flip-flop by him. DRILLING he shouted, off shore drilling we have to Drill here and drill now... He seized it as his own.
 
This week we are following the Olympics. Well McCain gave an Olympian tour de farce on how to go for the gold! He manuvered around, through, over and under every issue and made the night about HIS vision for America and where HE wants to lead us and how HE plans to do it!! Say what you want about McCain but after last night you can not say the following:
 
  •  You can no longer say he doesn't have the passion  for this race, the fire in his belly.
  •   You can't say you do not know where he stands on important issues.
  •   You can't say he looks weak compared to Obama
  •   YOU CAN NOT SAY HE IS NOT A CONSERVATIVE AND A PROUD ONE AT THAT
 
How did John McCain accomplish all this? He did something few politicians are capable of, certainly not Barack Obama or any other current Democrat leader . Here is how he did it:
 
       
  •  He was Clear in his answers.
  •  He was concise.
  • He was HONEST.
  • He actually answered the way he thought was right not the way he hoped would poll better.
  • He knew what he was talking about
  • His EXPERIENCE showed for everyone to see .
  • He presented a stark contrast between himself and Obama - either you are ready and experienced enough to be President of the United States or you are Not, end of discussion!
  • He showed he, WANTS to be President, has the knowledge and EXPERIENCE to be President and the ability to lead.
  • He was good, he was VERY good, and he knew it, You could tell. You know like Hot Damn! This is MY stage, MY show! MY Olympic event!
 
 
McCain moved flawlessly from issue to issue question to question with humor I am sure supprised even his enemies. He was "ON" he knew it, this was his time and he ran with it! And another thing he showed us - He CAN communicate! Obama may have an ability to READ good speeches off a teleprompter but McCain showed he can communicate directly and from the heart while not looking at a speech but looking us in the eyes!
 
I am no longer just going along with the results of the primaries. I am now a bonifide dyed in the wool Red White and Blue John McCain supporter with no reservations what so ever. Is he perfrect ? NO. Am I? are you? was Ronald Reagan?  No .
I rest my case!

MCCAIN HITS GRAND SLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight John McCain Showed the American people the difference between experience and Barack Obama. He was totally "ON".
 
He ran the gamut of issue after issue showing a depth and breadth of each that I have never seen from Barack Obama. Obama did well in his segment. He was safe. He was not contraversial. He was also not inspiring. McCain used his time to weave a tapestry for Americans of his vision for where he wants to take us and how he wants to get there. Americans should be secure after seeing his performance tonight that if elected President we will be in good hands.
 
I have been guilty of overly criticizing John McCain from this Blog. While I supported him, it was more from a pont of view of the lesser of two evils. Tonight I can honestly say I am honored AND PROUD to say I support John McCain to be MY President. America would do itself proud to elect him.

PUTIN TRYING TO PUT HUMPTY DUMPTY TOGETHER AGAIN?

Well this was a watershed week on the international front. While most of the world was focused on China and the Olympics and making nice-nice and can't we all just get along, Russia used the cover to mount an invasion of one of its former Republics, Georgia. Ever since the fall of the Soviet empire, the pulling down of the Berlin wall and statues of Lenin, elements in Russia have been plotting, waiting, scheming to find a time when they could start putting the busted up Humpty Dumpty that was the old. bloated, drerary, shell together again. The first hint was with the asscension to power of Vladimir Putin -- Who really believed this former head of the KGB had really thrown off the desire of world domination. Well except for George Bush any way who looked into his eyes and saw his soul. I like John McCain's recent statement, that HE looked into Putin's eyes and saw three words: K  G  B !
 
No one knows what Barack Obama would have seen, probably something like a dear friend who WE, The United States, have provoked by talking of Georgia, the Ukraine becoming members of NATO and by working out an agreement with Poland to put part of the strategic missile defense shield on the soil of another former Soviet puppet. Yes, but of course, America's fault! That would be Obama's assessment of Putin IF he had ever met face to face with him in negotiations.
 
 
If it is the plan of Russia to make a grab for former Republics this would be a good time to start, what with us being preoccupied in Afghanistan and Iraq, Bush a lame duck, Congress on Vacation, the world occupied with Olympics and Global Warming and the prospect of a Democrat, and a Left Wing, Socialist one at that becoming the next President. Putin saw his chance and took it. Will Russia allow a Georgia or Ukraine or other former Republic to join Nato? I think not!
 
 
It appears as of this morning that a cease fire is still in effect. It doesn't matter. Putin met his first goal, put the former Republics on notice that thay are NOT truely independant, Soverign nations as they thought. Russia is still in ultimate control and can, at any time they choose retake any one or all of them and the world will not do much more than hoot and holler. Should Putin find Barack Obama the new President of the United States, what he could expect is AN APPOLOGY for US having forced him to act.
 
Russia has a number of options, they can take over Georgia, then Ukraine piece by piece or all at once. They are in control. They can make that decision when and where they wish. This was just the first shot over the bow of the former Republics. One thing I know this week has revealed is this:  All the Dictator's Armies and all of his men are hard at work putting Humpty Dumpty together again!

NOW IS NO TIME TO PUT THE ROOKIE IN

This week should be a wake up call for all Americans that now more than ever the times are too dangerous to even contemplate electing someone as inexperienced as Barack Obama. The Russian-Georgian Crisis underscores stark differences between McCain and Obama.
 
John McCain responded to the conflict with firm but restrained words that left no doubt who the aggressor is and that Russia's actions are unaccptable. Barack Hussein Obama reacted with the same old tired Leftist pablum of blaiming both sides and calling for the UN to do something, what he expects them to do beats me. The only thing missing was a chorous of "We are the world" in the back ground. Obama's non reaction falls back on the Left's phylosophy of No right or wrong, only areas of gray. There is no true evil, everyone is entitled to their own position in other words Moral equivalancy.
 
 The Russian-Georgian crisis is only the tip of the ice berg. Russian-American relations are entering a new phase and we must: A) recognize this new phase and  B) be prepared for it and not just react.
Nothing in Barack's history (such as it is) gives one confidence that he will be up to dealing with Putin in a way Putin would at least respect.
 
Since Obama has no experience in dealing with crisis not of his own making we have to rely on past statements. He has said many times he will sit down with the likes of Syria and Iran WITHOUT preconditions but with preparations. I have asked this question in a previous post, Who goes into any meeting, even a PTA meeting with out preparations? BIG deal! Is this a policy? How idiotic, and how stupid of the MSM not to call him on it. Syria and Iran are only just two enemies we will have to stand up to in the very near future. What other foreign policy proposals of Obama's shed light on how he may react to the new Russian threat? Well take Iraq. Last year, before the Surge Obama insisted on a time table for defeat that would have had us out by March. It has become quite clear to everyone even the MSM that that policy would have been a disaster .
 
Even Hillary Clinton has said that John McCain would bring over 25 years experience to the Oval Office. A far cry to Obama's 4 year stint in the Senate as a back bencher, doing a lot of nothing and spending two of those years running for President. And what the heck does a Community organizer do any way??? Organize the Community??? is that like Hope and Change? Sounds nice but absolutely meaningless? What was that, another one of those feel good Liberal  jobs that make folks think something is being done? What great thing did he organize that should catapult him to the White House?  This is not a matter of subjective preference or semantic word play. Either you have the back ground and experience to be President of the United States or you do not. Period. No gray areas, no niceties. No glib words, no platitudes. Experienced or not. Period!
 
The world faces many dangers. Not the least are the Mid East and Iran's Nuke threat, This new mini Cold War which at any moment can be back to the days of the Soviet Union, North Korea, Africa, ie Somaila and Darfur , Iraq and the whole war on Terror,  recuring interuptions of Kenyan oil The possibility of oil embargos, Rising energy costs, etc etc etc. Who do you put in office to guide this Nation through all these perils?? Do you want experience, some one with courage and insight or do you go with a rookie - a rank amature?
 
I hope America is watching the changing world scene and asking these same questions.

MORE REASONS WHY CONGRESS SHOULD EXTEND THEIR VACATION

Yesterday I wrote  how Extending Congress' vacation would be good for America. I asked my readers for their suggestions on benefits an extended vacation would have. What I got far surpassed what I expected.  I have included the best below contributed by Sue, Garnet92 and beltway girl.
 
 
SUE really hit a Home Run with her list of benefits:
 
Hmmm...lets see why is it good for America for Congress to extend their vacation????

Start with conservation:
1. Less water, gas, and electric consumption
2. More toilet paper stock piled to tp chambers when they come back
3. Condom machine will stay full and no "out of order" sign needed
4. Cleaning people can put "Drill Now" bumper stickers all around the rotunda

Tourists
1. Sales will continue to soar for the "Where in the World is Congress" game
2. Obama supporters have enough room to join hands and sing, "We Are the World"
3. Have enough time to put whoopie cushions on all chairs for a good laugh
4. Sit in chairs and pretend to be doing nothing, as the Congress does
5. Rifle through desk drawers (only to find them empty)
6. Take office supplies (you paid for it)
7. Have potato sack races up and down the halls

Members:
1. Enough time for Harry Reid to tape episode of "What Not to Wear", get a make-over and have his puppet strings cleaned
2. Madame Speaker to have gavil surgerically removed and continue to promote book that will never sell and practice her "I am third in line" song and dance
3. Waters can continue her thesis on nationalizing the oil companies and Boxer will continue her thesis on suing OPEC
4. Craig to really practice his toe tapping for the production of the "Tap Dance Kid."
5. Practice in front of mirror on saying "present" and nothing else
6. They have time to locate Georgia on the map and understand that Scarlett and Redt don't need their help - TARA is not burning

i hope they'll all be given the opportunity to do this in south ossetia. this winter.

no vote necessary! an all-expense paid holiday to south ossetia, that will last through the winter, for every congresscreature. a sealskin coat will be provided along with a one-way ticket. unlimited tank rides, and an unpaid internship on an oil rig in the caspian sea.

Taken all together this list is a compelling argument for why Congress should extend vacation beyond five weeks. The biggest one of course is that the ban on drilling will just die on its own without the fight over a vote.
 
I want to thank these contributors and the others who also sent in benefuts for really hilarious ideas!!! They are so good no need to add to them but as your humble commentator, and since this IS my Blog, I can't resist adding my two cents. I will just repeat one thought I wrote yesterday. THE - LONGER- - CONGRESS- - STAYS- -,  OUT-,  THE- -LESS- HARM -THEY-- CAN --DO!!

EXTENDING CONGRESS' VACATION GOOD FOR AMERICA!!

 Since August 1st I and  almost everyone else here have been calling for Congress to return now from their five week vacation and vote on drilling in the continental shelf and ANWR.
 
Almost every day I have berated Pelosi for cutting the lights and heading out of town. But then a couple of days ago I heard on a radio program that the moritorium must be renewed each year. If it is not renewed it EXPIRES,,,Hmmmm... This year it expires September 30th. In my Post yesterday I wrote facetiously that The Congressional vacation should actually be EXTENDED through September 30th. This I wrote, would allow the ban to just go away...POOF!  no fight, no vote...it just expires.
 
During the day I thought more about this joke and concluded this is actualluy a good Idea for more than one reason :
 
1) The ban on offshore drilling would end .
 
2) Americans win as drilling would once again be allowed.
 
3) Dems could honestly tell their whacko left wing lug nuts that they did not vote for drilling.
 
4) The longer Congress stays out the less harm they can do!
 
I think I like that last point so I  will repeat it real slow : THE - LONGER- - CONGRESS- - STAYS- -,  OUT-,  THE- -LESS- HARM -THEY-- CAN --DO!! 
 
Nancy, don't you need more time to push your book? After all, your sales are in the tank..Pathetic, the pits. Surely a longer book tour couldn't hurt even if it won't help either. Take an extra month. That would be till Halloween. You know, Trick Or Treat?? You are good at tricks and it would be a treat for us if you stayed out.  Or maybe stay out till Thanks Giving - Turkey Day, Congress is expert on Turkeys!
 
As you can see this has many possibilities. I know there are more than four good reasons for Congress to extend their vacation, but I didn't want to have all the fun myself, so think of some and let me know what y'all come up with!
 
It will not be easy changing course and telling Congress to take all the time off they want, but as you can see the benefits would be worth the effort.

GEORGIA-RUSSIAN WAR HEIGHTENS THE NEED FOR US TO DRILL OUR OWN OIL

The Georgian-Russian War is just the latest in a long list of reasons why NOW is the time to start drilling off our continental shelves and in ANWR. Every time a conflict or even a threat of a conflict breaks out the volatile oil markets go into a frenzy. Our economy is held hostage to every twist and turn of world politics. Either the Democrats do not get this or they do not care.
 
I have come to believe the Democrats do get it, but they just do not care. Why wouldn't they care? The answer lies in what is the goal the goal of Liberalism. In today's world Liberalism has become synnomonous with socialism. Europe, Canada, etc. have all adopted a "nanny state" form of government and social engineering. Along with policical correctness, Global warming, secular humanism, moral equivalancy, appeasment etc, etc.
 
Like it or not the West is going to remain dependant on oil for at least another 20-30 years.We are at the mercy of every major or minor incident in the oil producing countries, ie Nigeria, where sabatage and political instability constantly disrupt the flow of oil. Georgia has the only non Russian oil pipe line in that area. Iran threatens to close the straights of Hormuz.
 
Yesterday I published a post in which I say Nancy Pelosi has blinked regarding the up or down vote on offshore drilling. Some here feel she really has no intention of allowing a vote, that she is giving lip service while planing a vote on a bill that will not include drilling. They say Pelosi can not be trusted. Of course she can not be trusted, she is a Liberal! I don't know what Pelosi is really up to, but judging by America's reaction to the soaring oil prices, and the Congress'inaction, along with renewed tensions between the U.S. and Russia AND the closeness of the November election, I do not see how she can NOT allow a vote. The Dems have already played their hand and lost on this. 
 
We have one of if not the largest un-tapped oil reserves in the world. World prices dropped just at the prospect of America adding millions of barrels of oil a day to the world supply. The Bush/McCain call last moth for Drilling off the coasts and in ANWR made a difference. We are the sleeping giant of world oil. It is a disgrace caused by both parties that we have to grovel at the feet of Mid East thugs and  butchers who have not contributed anything of value to civilization in over 1000 years and who, without the oil would have nothing of value the world could possibly want.
 
John McCain and Republican candidates nation wide must continue to make this the number one issue in this election.Obama/Pelosi/Reid can be defeated on this. They have been defeated on this. Here is another way Dems can get out of their hole. Nancy could EXTEND the vacation till after September and just let the ban expire on the 30th. Wishy-Washy, spineless, French-like Dems could tell their extremist supporters they never actualy voted for offshore drilling. Nancy could say she was never bullied by those nasty American people into forcing a vote. EVERYONE would win!!!. But seriously, It doesn't matter. Americans WANT more oil. Californians and Floridians are even in favor of drilling. Like with the surge, Dems find themselves once again on the wrong side.

PELOSI BLINKS! DROPS OPPOSITION TO OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING

 As 90 Republican Congressman continue their rotating protest over Democrat's failure to vote on off shore oil drilling and Americans call, write and email their Representatives and Senators, it appears we have been heard. PELOSI BLINKED.
 
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday night dropped her staunch opposition to
a vote on offshore oil drilling in the House. "It's not excluded, let's put it that way," Pelosi said.

Republicans, reacting to high gas prices, have demanded a vote on additional
oil exploration in the Outer Continental Shelf, where drilling is currently
blocked by a moratorium. Until now, Pelosi (D-Calif.) has resisted the idea
as a "hoax." But in an interview on CNN's Larry King Live, she indicated
that she was open to a vote.

"They have this thing that says drill offshore in the protected areas,"
Pelosi said. "We can do that. We can have a vote on that."
 
READ THAT LAST LINE AGAIN... "They have this thing that says..." Can you believe it? Can you believe the words of wisdom from the Speaker of The House of Representatives??? "They have this thing..." This THING. Ms Pelosi, is a plan to decrease our dependancy on foreign oil. This THING is a National Security issue. This THING  aims at stopping the hemoraging of $700 BILLION dollars a year to Countries who hate us, want us dead, want to destroy our Civilization.
 
Words of wisdom from the Speaker who has led Congress to it's worse approval in history. She was the one two years ago who said she had an energy plan. Where is that plan, Madam Speaker? Was it so secret  you forgot it?
 
SO Nancy Pelosi has heard the protests. SHE will allow a vote - NO Nancy, Americans DEMANDED a vote and you have caved, folded like a beach chair, like a loosing hand in a card game.
 
This is not won yet. The protests, the pressure must be kept up, right up tp the vote and then after to make sure drilling actually is allowed to happen. (Remember the border wall?) But once again average Americans have shown a willingness to fight for an issue we believe in and our "reprentatives" are afraid to act on.

  • BAGHDAD —  Iraq's foreign minister says negotiators are "on the brink" of reaching a long-term security pact with the United States that will decide the fate of American troops in Iraq.

Hoshyar Zebari says the Iraqis are insisting on the inclusion of a "clear timeline" for the withdrawal of U.S.-led forces. But he refused to give any dates.

Zebari told journalists Sunday that the main sticking points have been over the authorization of military operations and sovereignty issues. But he says he's optimistic that both sides "are compromising on all these issues."

U.S. acceptance — even tentatively — of a specific timeline would represent a dramatic reversal of American policy in place since the war began in March 2003.
 
 
   More hints that U.S. military actions in Iraq are rapidly moving to a new level. In the past few weeks there have been indications from the Administration that troop withdrawls MAY be able to begin this Fall, perhaps in Octobor. Iraq's Prime minister has said his country is ready to take over it's own defense. Now this up date from their Foreign Minister.
 
Gee , too bad the surge failed like Obama, Murtha, Pelosi and what I call The Gang That Couldn't Think Straight have been saying over and over even in the face of contrary evidence. Too bad General Petreus Betrayed us just like the Dems said he did.
 
Too bad they couldn't have helped by supporting our troops, supporting the surge, in other words, SUPPORTING AMERICA! Not this gang! NOOOoooo. They knew better, Bush lied don't ya know. This Gang that Couldn't Think Straight had from the begining staked their future on America failing in Iraq. Imagine, The Democratic Party, the Party of Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, all who understood the need to use our military when neccessary, this once Great, if not mis-guided on some issues Party, now locked into a position where America has to loose, to FAIL in order for them to succeed politically.Great leaders,This Gang That Couldn't Think Straight.The blind leading the blind.
 
One would think that with evidence to the contrary they would try to spin this their way- take credit like they always do. Nope. Barack Obama left for his "Fact finding" trip to Iraq with his mind already made up!
 
Like with the debacle over the Drilling vote in Congress this Gang That Couldn't Think Straight have once again, using powers of deductive reasoning , geometric logic and just plain stupidity led themselves and their Party into a position they can not wriggle out of. They are once again on the side of defeat, THE WRONG SIDE. Americans see that, change is in the air and it is not the change Obama and Pelosi and Reid and Murtha Hope for. Their Hope and Change is just as misguided as the rest of their agenda.

Russian-Georgia war Highlights Obama's Inexperience

    John McCain may be getting another gift from The Lord. First the Oil price inreases and subsiquent reductions as a result of Bush's and McCain's stand for More drilling and huge mistakes by Obama and Nancy Pelosi. This week the gift is in the form of a warning American's should pay close attention to.
 
The Russian/Georgian war emphasizes the danger in the world that can show its head when we are least expecting it. The story this week was to be the Olympic games. A show of supposed unity and co-operation among nations. Instead, along with the stunning opening ceramony at the games we are faced with reports of Air bombing on both sides, invasion and counter invasion, death and distruction. The geo-political waters are further muddied as this is occurring between Russia and one of it's former Republics, which just happens to be a major ally of the United States in the war on terror.
 
The world was already a very dangerous place. Everyone except the Liberals know that. They have a smug and flippant remark for the call for off shore drilling,"We can't drill ourselves out of this." Stock nonesense they think if they repeat enough time we will believe it. Here is a concept they should wrap themselves around and attempt, if it is even possible, to understand. WE CAN NOT WISH OURSELVES INTO A PEACEFUL WORLD. The crisis in Georgia should make every American pause and ask themselves who is better qualified to guide this nation through these troubled times. How will a President Obama react to major crises requiring immediate attention? Since he has no experience what so ever in dealing with any thing of consequence we can only guess from his past statements.
 
Barack Obama's past statements on international matters are no help as they change faster than his oil drilling policy. Regarding Syria and Iraq he first said he would talk with them with out preconditions, next he says well, I won't require preconditions but preparations. Preparations? That is a policy? What idiot would sit down to serious talks with OUT preparations? Meaningless! What about Isreal? He has said Jerusalem must remain united and under Isreal's control. This led to acomplete turn around when Isreal's and our enemies, Hamas and Hezbollah squeeled like the stuck pigs they are. Some negotiator, this Barack Obama.
 
The Democratic Party has year after year moved toward a European Socialist model. The model of appeasment . The model of if
only we can show them we understand them, we feel their pain, If only we would confess OUR past actions that led to their hating us. If only..If only...IF ONLY!!! This is where Obama is comming from.
 
No President in recent memory of anyone alive has had such a total lack of experience. None less qualified. None such a danger to the Nation he will swear to protect.
 
John MCcain's new Ad paints the distinction between McCain and Obama quite clearly with a statement by none other than Hillary Clinton. She said, John McCain would bring over 25 years of experience to the White House and Barack Obama a speech he gave in 2002! Says it all, doesn't it?
 
This campaign really comes down to two pressing issues. The High cost of energy and the need to become energy self sufficient. and National Security and the war on Islamo terrorism.  These two issues point to what should be the third main issue - the complete and total lack of experience of the Democratic Presidential candidate to handle the first two.

AS OIL PRICES FALL WE MUST KEEP UP THE PRESURE TO DRILL NOW!

  As of Noon today, the price of oil dropped another $4.00 to $116.00/barrel. Since Bush and then Mccain Called for Drilling off our coasts oil has dropped almost $40.00/barrel. Great. Good News!, BUT you know what is comming...Queen Nancy The Last and all the Libs will soon be saying regarding off shore Drilling, "Why, whats the rush?? oil prices are back down, there is no crisis, we must TAKE OUR TIME, slow down, consider the environment..blah...blah....blah!!!.You KNOW it will start soon and we, the McCain Campaign, Rebublicans in the House and Senate must be ready. We must keep up the pressure, draw the line in the sand...NO WAIT, NOT their  sand, the good ole USA SOIL!,  that NOW is THE time to stop putting this off and DO IT NOW. look back 30 years. Each time there is a problem with the supply or price a cry goes out to become energy independant. then the crisis ebbs or ends and right back to the same old complacency. Republicans must continue taking the leadership role on this and constantly remind Americans why we must start now. This is and will continue to be a National Security problem. The Democrats way of handling this, ignoring it, wishing it away, calling for tire inflation, and the good old Liberal stand-by BLAME AMERICA isn't going to be allowed any longer.
 
Who knows what the price at the pump will be when  Pelosi and her spineless wonders finally come back from their vacation. What I do know is we can not continue to be at the mercy of brutish, culturally deficient, barbaric thugs who hate our guts- hate all America stands for - hate all that is good and decent in this world and want us all dead. 
 
When you have a majority of Floridians and a majority of Californians behind drilling for OUR OWN oil off OUR shores you know the time has come to do it NOW.
