Today B. Huessein Obama met with Iraqi President Al Maliki. The very fact he is even there is as a response to McCain humiliating his lack of direct on the ground experience in Iraq. Obama Said at the start of the Surge that it could not succeed in bringing down the violence and we needed to begin then the withdrawl of our troops.
Fast forward 18 months, Obama is in Iraq, The surge has succeeded even better than we had hoped. Bush administration and some generals last week have begun to hint at stepped up withdrawls starting this fall. Obama's staff has purged his web site of criticism of the surge.
It appears that Obama, on his Majic Mystery Tour, will attempt to cash in on the success he so desperately hoped would not happen. Like Kerry who voted for the $80 billion for the Iraq war before he voted against it, our Savior, Barak the all knowing, will now claim he was right all along to propose a 16 month time table for withdrawl. IF we begin to pull out this fall It will be BECAUSE the surge succeeded , bcause John McCain fought for it. Republicans must not let the Liberal revisionists re-write the history on this. If Obama had had his way his inexperience and bad judgement would have had us out of Iraq already, in defeat and having to go back in at some point.
