The Fox News Opinion Dynamics Poll Today shows McCain moving into a statistical dead heat with Barak, I am a citizen of the world, Obama. This inspite of over a week of solid coverage by the three formerly legitimate news organization's mouth pieces and hundreds of other reporters, camera crews, photogs.
I keep reading that sentence over and over, it doesn't compute.Obama came off a stunning primary victory over Hillary Clinton, who had been declared the presumptive nominee before the primaries even started. The public is tiring of or outright against six years of war in a
place no ome gives a damn about. And still, McCain pulls to a dead heat. Health Insurance is sky high, oil prices are out of control, homes are foreclosing and those that aren't have dropped in value. And McCain has pulled to a dead heat. For eight years Democrats have blamed George Bush for everything from lying to get us into Iraq to Global warming, they say McCain is running for Bush's third term yet - McCain moves into a dead heat.
I don't understand - Obama is touted as the greatest orator in history, McCain puts you to sleep when he speaks. I majored in Political Science. I have been a political junkie since high school in the 60's. I don't get it! There is something going on, under the surface that I am missing. IS McCain THAT good? I don't think so. Has Obama made major gaffes?? yes, some but thats not it.
Maybe - just maybe its the American people? Could it be they are more astute then the media and the Democrat party gives them credit for? Could it be they see past the pomp, the hype, the fawning, the empty words? Can it be they see in John McCain a man of principal, a man toughened by service to his country in the hell hole of Hanoi? Can it be the American people know he does get it re the danger of Islamo Fascism? That while they may be tired of the war they don;t want us to loose it?
I hope this is right but I still sense something is going on here that I am missing. Any one have any ideas? I really want to know what I am missing. One thing I know, this will go down as a very extraordinary election. Hold on to your hats I suspect we ain't seen nothin yet!!
