I Have been off line for few days......There is a lot happening

I haven't been on here for a few days. Guess I got all blogged out! I hope everyone has had a Great Thanks Giving Holiday! mine was quiet but nice! Every day is a Holiday in Holiday Florida!!!!

While it has been quite here, the rest of the world is still a mess. Mumbai massacre shows how vulnerable we still are. The Feds have issued a warning for New York area transist system during this Holiday season. More on this in a future Post. The hands are still outstretched looking for bailouts!. I have a big question, Why do we taxpayers have to bailout Huge banks with 3 % loans while WE have to pay THEM 18% and higher on credit cards??? Where is OUR relief??? Bring back the usuary laws!!!!!!

So Obama has begged...I mean convinced Hillary to join his team as Secy of State. Didn't he say during the primary campaign her only experience was sipping tea with foreign leaders??? Didn't he say she had NO DIPLOMATIC experience??? Then again neither does he.

I am going to cut this short.. We in Tampa Bay area have a Tornado Watch up till 5PM today and already getting high winds!! We are supposed to get svere T-Storms this afternoon and evening. I will try and get on in between storms and visit all your blogs and catch up!

If I don't see ya'all today have a Great Sunday!!

CHANGE? WHERE'S THE CHANGE? I DON'T SEE ANY CHANGE I REALLY DON'T

So far Barack Obama's appointments have done more to disappoint his far left supporters than the right. You remember the old Wendy's Commercial with Clara asking where's the Beef? well, Lefties by now ought to be asking Where's the change? They campaigned and donated hundreds of millions of Dollars to not have the third term of George Bush and instead are getting the third term of Bill Clinton with maybe a sprinkle of Jimmy Carter thrown in. Obama senior adviser David Axelrod confirmed that the president-elect would name Timothy Geithner, the New York Federal Reserve president, as his treasury secretary. Lawrence Summers, a treasury secretary under former President Bill Clinton and former Harvard University president, will take over the National Economic Council. Gov. Bill Richardson will head the Commerce Dept. Certainly not a group of left wing bomb throwers coming to Washington to end Capitalism as we know it.

NO, I am not going soft on Obama, but his economic team is shaping up fairly centrist. The new Secy of Treasury already has his hands all over the bailout plans , he has been working closely with Paulson. It appears now Obama will leave Bush's tax cuts in place at least untill they are scheduled to expire in 2111 and will go ahead with his tax cut for the middle class...WHAT?? Keep tax cuts and not raise them on the top 5 percent, AND add new tax cuts for the middle class? How Republican!! As I wrote in a Blog at the start of the financial collapse, this disaster may be a gift from God in that it will keep the Democrats from making radical changes to our economic system for at least a few years, when hopefully Republicans can get their act together and take back  Congress or at least make things close enough to hold off many of the left's socialist programs.

Another area where the Left must be upset is Foreign policy. The appointment of Hillary Clinton as Secy of State is another sign that Obama plans at least at the start to govern more to the center than the left. Her and Obama had major differences in the campaign over the Iraq war (Clinton voted for it) and not negotiating with the likes of Imabiganutjob in Iran without preconditions, so by accepting the State job Clinton appears to have assurances by Obama that she WILL control US Foreign policy. A few days ago Obama talked via phone with Afghan President Karzai. " Fighting terrorism and the insurgency in Afghanistan, the region and the world is a top priority," Karzai's office quoted Obama as saying during the connversation. This may be another signal that Obama MAY stay the course in the war on terror, another cause for remorse on the Left. Because of the surge, Iraq has progressed to the point that most provinces have been handed over to the Iraq Army and both countries have agreed on a plan for future American involvement while withdrawing most of our troops. All Obama needs do is keep his hands off and the war WILL wind down and troops come home.

Conservitives must not do what Liberals did to George Bush. We must not be against everything Obama does, after all, to the victor goes the spoils. We need to agree on what we can and pick our battles carefully. If we start out objecting to every appointment, every policy we will be margianalized even more than we are. If Obama shows he may lean to the Center on the economy and foreign policy even if just in the short term we must support him. Politics IS after all the art of compromise. We need to save our battles for the "unfairness doctrine", Supreme Court Judges, off shore drilling etc.
Until we can get back Congress hopefully in 2010 we must offer credible alternatives to policies we are against. Knee-jerk negative reaction to everything will get us no where and may hurt any chance we have to get back Congress.

I welcome whatever little signs governing from the center Obama may show. He will be the President and further failure in the economy and or foreign policy will make the current financial disaster look like a mild hiccup. If moving toward the center helps stabilize the economy all the better for America.

LET THE LAME BRAIN SESSION OF CONGRESS BEGIN!

Today marks the start of the LAME BRAIN, not Lame Duck , session of Congress. We already have Bawney Fwank out front calling for Congressional oversight of the Auto Industry as one condition for bailout money!!. OVERSIGHT??? does he mean like he did for the Mortgage Industry all these years?? Look what that did, it gave us the current financial melt town.

Undaunted, Democrats like Bawney Fwank intend to gain control over the Big Three Auto makers. No where in his "conditions" do I see re-negotiating Union contracts and work rules that have made this industry uncompetitive.

Sens. Richard Shelby of Alabama and Jon Kyl of Arizona said it would be a mistake to use any of the Wall Street rescue money as the American Auto Companies are dinosaurs. They are right! We will only throw more money down the hole. Unless there is serious restructuring, including mergers and new competitive union contracts, the Big Three will become a drain on the treasury. Like AIG (An Insatiable Glutton), they will be back again and again for more. At some point they will collapse for good and America will be out all this bailout money.

Democrats owe many interest groups big time for their support in this election. No group is larger than the Unions. Democrats cannot possibly regulate Industries controlled by the very people who helped elect them.
It is rediculous to think that giving billions of dollars to this industry will result in anything but more waste and more handouts.American taxpayers do not need or want a stake in failed Industries that we will have to support forever with corporate welfare. Let them go bankrupt. Let the court order restructuring, let them come up with a reorganization plan that makes them truly competative in the world market.Once they unload some debt, and renegotiate competative Union contracts and cut legacy benefits to match what average Americans get and have to pay for, THEN maybe the Government can provide bridge loans with gaurantees we will be paid back at a profit.

Today the Lame Brain Session of Congress begins!Republicans MUST make the Dems own this mess and keep hands off. Do not vote for this bailout this week. Obama resigned from the Senate early so not to have to go on record one way or the other. He is hiding behind Bush who he has asked to support this while he not willing to vote on it. The vote may come down to Joe Lieberman who Derms are shuning, or maybe Dick Cheney if a tie!(not likely). Let Obama and Pelosi and Reid deal with it after January 20th!  This one is NOT above Obama's pay grade this IS his pay grade and it is what he was elected to do, namely MAKE DECISIONS for once!!

LET OBAMA AND DEMS IN CONGRESSS DECIDE AUTO BAILOUT

Republicans should leave hands off any potential Auto Industry/UAW bailout and force Obama and his Dem Congress to own the results! They wanted power, let them exercise it.

This post was inspired by comments TH Blogger Mildred made yesterday. The points she makes are great analysis. Mildred's own Blog,
Search for the Cure can be found at::  http://irisheyes.blogtownhall.com/

Mildred wrote:

"Sen.Obama resigns his Senate seat as of Sunday, 11/23. Why??? He still has 6 weeks of service or is it because he can't vote present or hang out in the cloak room.
Sen. Obama votes for Auto Bailout= LOSER to the non-union "hurting Americans".

Sen. Obama votes against Auto Bailout=LOSER to the auto & union votong Americans.

Pres. Obama signs Auto Bailout= LOSER to nonunion hurting Americans.

Pres. Obama vetoes Auto Bailout=LOSER to Union voting members.

So without giving a yes or no answer, he is giving the usual esoteric response, he supports the bailout but now has made a noncommital response to avoid his duty as a US senator to circumvent any vote that requires a firm decision. Did you get all that????????? "

What Mildred wrote is true. Obama is trying not to go on record voting one way or the other.  He has asked Bush to support aid to GM. After January 20th It is HIS ballgame. He and the Pelosi/Reid Congress should be forced to take full responsibility for either bailing out the Auto Industry or not. Either way a large segment of the population will begin Obama's term alienated. Sure, The Democrats will blame Bush but they must be the ones to solve this financial mess. If Republicans go along in the lame duck session and vote for a bailout and Bush signs it it will be THEIR fault whatever the result is. Lets give the Libs what they have squealed for for 8 years. Let THEM own this. They already own the Freddi Mac-Fannie Mae fiasco (even if republicans have done a lousey job pointing this out), let this financial mess fall completely on them right fromn the start of Obama's first and last term.

With the Financial bailout we were told it  it was needed to prevent the market from tanking. Well it tanked!!. We were told they needed to buy up bad loans. Well now Paulson says, NO, that won't work, we will do other things. They are throwing crap on the wall hoping something-ANYTHING- sticks. So far nothing has stuck. Now the Auto Industry, and several cities like Philadelphia, and states like Taxachucits and California also want bailouts. The line forms on the right - or should I say the LEFT! Obama wants a bailout now, before he takes over. Bankruptcy would force a re-organization. It would force re-negotiating Union contracts and legacy benefits. It would force changing work rules that all make the Auto industry non-competitive. A bailout now only rewards the Execs and Union bosses and fixes nothing. Next year they will be back on the line for more handouts.

Any day now expect to hear, and when you do remember you heard it hear first, that this whole financial melt down was plot by Bush-CheneyRove and the GOP to prevent Barack Obama from implementing his tax and spend and tax some more socialist economic campaign promises! They will cry that the first 2- 2-1/2 years of Obama's Administration will have to be spent cleaning up the mess Bush left them. They will whine that there is no money to pay for Obama's promises . They will have bailed out so many Union led industries that even thinking of increasing taxes would destroy any recovery.

By kicking what to do with the Auto Industry bailout down the street till after January, Obama starts off in a huge financial hole and also alienates a large segment of Americans whatever he does. Good! I couldn't think of a better Inauguration present!

AUTO INDUSTRY BAILOUT OR UNION BAILOUT?

Nancy Pelosi called for a lame Duck session of Congress to take up a bailout plan for the Auto industry. President elect Barack Obama also wants a bailout. What is really behind this plan? The big three automakers are in the mess they are in because they produce products American's have not wanted. They got greedy with the high priced SUV's and Trucks, and large Sedans and had no foresight to introduce more fuel efficient, smaller vehicles as they already sell in Europe and elsewhere. Now they get on line with everyone else for a Government bailout.

Would GM filing for bankruptcy really be bad for the economy? They cry that 2.5 million jobs are at stake. They cry that no one will buy cars from a bankrupt company. Bull dinky!! Filing for bankruptcy will not close up GM. In fact they will be able to renegotiate new contracts, pension plans, health care and work rules with the UAW and other unions to become more competitive.

My feeling is the Democrats are urgently pushing for an auto industry bailout now just so the union contracts can remain as is. They owe the union bosses big time for contributions. It is payback time now! Well no it is not! IF the Government bails them out where is the incentive to become competitive inwages and benefits? Where is the incentive to start producing vehicles someone actually wants to drive? Many Airlines are under chapter 11 and people still fly.

After reorganizing under Chapter 11 and cuting waste and triming uncompetitive wages and benefits and introducing fuel efficient vehicles MAYBE there can be talk of some kind of temporary loan guarantees and easing up on some federal rules and regulations so they can come back in a much better competitive position vs foreign automakers.Assistance maybe, bailout? No WAY!

The auto industry got themselves into their current mess. American taxpayers must not be forced to prop up and gaurantee outdated, outrageous union contracts. It is up to management and the employees to fix their own problems. If they want their industry to succeed, if they want to keep their jobs then they must make it work, NOT the American taxpayer.

Where will these bailout requests end? Is the airline industry next? How about the entertainment industry when people cut back on going out , will they get on line with their hands out? The auto industry should not expect Americans to sacrifice and allow our dollars to dig them out of their hole they dug without THEM making sacrifices and re-negotiating bloated union contracts is a good first place to start.

THE GANG THAT COULDN'T THINK STRAIGHT STUMBLES TO VICTORY

Here they come! The Gang that couldn't think straight is riding into town! Marshall John McCain and his deputy Sarah Palin have been sent packin. Led by Barack "The Messiah" Obama and Joey "The Clown" Biden, gang members like Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi, "Dingy" Harry Reid, Bawney Fwank, Chuckie "Schmuckie Cheese" Schumer, "Odd" Chris Dodd, Al "Where's the TV Camera" Sharpton etc etc the Gang is already starting to fight over the spoils. There are rumors of tension bwtween Obama and ole Stretch.

They are already starting to jostle for position at the trough, trying to gobble up as much slop as they can. It will get worse. Other Gangs who joined them like the Union Gangs,  and peace at any price gang, and Al "Gas Bag" Gore's Global Warming Gang want their share of the slop. The line is just forming. Bailout after bailout. Tax hike after tax hike, spending program after spending program - it ain't pretty and will get uglier!

Yup! The Gang That Couldn't Think Straight actually took over Dodge. How did this happen? How will the good citizens of Dodge - America- win back their country?

Even in victory The Gang that couldn't think straight have sown the seeds of their own defeat. There are several factors that weigh against them:

1.) They may have won but they still are The Gang that couldn't think straight. They didnt win on the merits of their words - their beliefs,    their ideas.

2.) They still can not win in the market place of ideas.

3.) They did not defeat Conservatism as they now think - Conservatism was not even an issue in the battle!

4.) Marshall McCain fought a flawed fight. He did not have a consistant Conservative plan. Instead he threw whatever he could against the wall and hoped something - ANYTHING - would stick. Nothing stuck.

5.) They believe the citizens bought their message, They did not. They did not buy Liberalism and Socialism. They bought slogans, "Hope" and "Change". Smoke and mirrors. One could read into them what you wanted.

6.) Their victory is built on sand and sand shifts. They won on slogans and emotions and emotions are hard to keep at a constant level. As the slogans prove to be just that, emotions will swing in the other direction, Their own supporters will demand they fulfill their promises - all of them. They will blame the old crowd for a time but the time will come when the people will see these promises largely unfulfilled and ones that are will have only made things worse.

7.) Even before final victory "The Messiah" was trying to lower expectations - the very same expectations he and his Gang raised! Not a good sign you will keep all your promises.

8.) Incompetance. This is probably one of their most galring weaknesses. Stretch Pelosi took over the people's Congress two years ago, She promised a Hundred Day Plan like no other and thats exactly what we got! Has anyone seen that plan? What did she accomplish? Her and her share of the Gang have approval ratings in the tank. Never before seen in History! As Speaker she is a total failure.

9) Bawney Fwank and "Odd" Dodd have proven total incompetants in over seeing the Financial situation. A month before total collapse they were saying how good everything was!

10.) Last we have the top guns themselves. Barack "The Messiah" Obama has no experience. Every election he won was due to failure of the opposition not the merrits of his proposals and his record as he has no record. And then there is Joey "The Clown" Biden. He shoots from the mouth!. He will roll in and out of the spot light with both feet in his mouth! He will cause trouble yet for "The Messiah" The ONE!

Yes The Gang That Couldn't Think Straight are back in town. They CAN and WILL be defeated. It will take new leadership. A new game plan which is really true game plan namely sticking to core beliefs and principals. A coherent program like Newt's Contract with America. This leadership must go beyond one person. We do not need our own version of THE ONE. We need LEADERS. While Newt or someone like him will emerge as a spokesperson he or she must have leaders behind them. They need to start by defining to Americans what true conservatism is and how it is better for them than Liberalism. Make it clear. They also need to recognize why they lost power in the first place. There is a lot of blame to go around for squandering the people's trust and will take time to convince Americans we should be given another chance.

The Gang that couldn't think straight HAS sown the seeds of their ultimate defeat. We need to cultivate and water and fertilize those seeds with strong Conservative ideas and principals. Never again can we let our principals be co-opted by the spoils of power. No more pork. No more  playing the Belt way game. No more trying to play nice-nice and getting nothing in return except scorn and hate. No more compromising who we are and what we believe. No mor letting THEM set the agenda. No more fighting with both hands  tied behind our back.We took back Congress in the 90's BECAUSE of our principals not in spite of them. They were good enough for Ronald Reagan, they are good enough  for me and AMERICA!

LEST WE FORGET..FROM RONALD REAGAN

Lest we forget ...................
From Ronald Reagan

'Here's my  strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose.'
-  Ronald Reagan

'The most  terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and  I'm here to help.' -  Ronald Reagan

'The  trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just  that they know so much that isn't so.'
-  Ronald Reagan

'Of  the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the  U..S.   was too strong.'
 -  Ronald Reagan

'I  have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked  like if Moses had run them through the   U.S.   Congress.'
 -  Ronald Reagan

'The  taxpayer: That's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't  have to take the civil service examination.'-  Ronald Reagan

'Government  is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no  sense of responsibility at the other.'-  Ronald Reagan

'The  nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a government  program.' -  Ronald Reagan

'It  has been said that politics is the second oldest profession.. I have learned  that it bears a striking resemblance to the  first.'-  Ronald Reagan

'Government's  view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves,  tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize  it.'
-  Ronald Reagan

'Politics  is not a bad profession. If you succeed, there are many rewards; if you  disgrace yourself, you can always write a book.'-  Ronald Reagan

'No  arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is as formidable as the  will and moral courage of free men and women.'-  Ronald Reagan

'If  we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation  gone under.'- Ronald  Reagan

                     ------------------

As Conservatives we must get back to our core beliefs but we must never take ourselves so seriously we become strident, and whiny and intolerant like the Liberals. The humor and wisdom of Reagan are important to keep in front of us as we attempt to convince America the Conservative way is the RIGHT way!

A TIME FOR ACTION NOT REACTION

I woke up this morning in what I thought was a new America, but things were strangely familiar. The Sun did come up. It is still Fall, even here in Florida.I went to work. In other words this is still America. Sure there has been a sweeping "change" (I now hate that word!).We who supported John McCain are just realizing the full ramifications of what his loss will mean. Much of what we have been warning about will happen. To the victors go the spoils. That is life. That is Politics. We were the victors in 2000. We squandered our victory.

The difference between the Democrats loss in 2000 and our loss in 2008 will lie in how we react. Conservatives are by nature optomistic. That does not mean we can't get down, feel sad, even depressed at our loss. We DID loose afterall, BUT because we are conservatives WE have not been defeated. We did not loose because of our principals, the campaign was NOT about our principals. We must not react as the Liberals did. They seethed, festered with hate, whined, cried, charged they were robed and believed it.They developed Bush derangement syndrome. They opposed everything Bush did including the defense of our Country after 911 because Bush proposed it. This is how Liberals react at loss. This is NOT our way!

We have a right to be sad. To be concerned about the future. We must not react as they did. We lost. To react as they did in 2000 and 2004 and since would mean they really did win. To react like them would mean we not only lost the election but were defeated. I know I was not defeated yesterday. I know many of you feel the same.So what do we do now?

I certainly do not pretend to have THE answer but I do have thoughts on what we should do now:

1) We must take stock of what has really happeened, cut through the emotions, the rhetoric, the fears etc and look at the reality.

2) We will learn a lot in the next 24-48 hours and certainly the next week of what the reality is so we can rationally decide what we should do.

3) Don't do anything until you scout the territory and know the "enemy." We all have made a lot of suppositions and charges during the campaign. Most MAY turn out to be true, some may or may not have been natural exagerations of issues that occur in every election. Once we see just what Obama really wants and how he goes about putting pieces in place of his administration then we can react.

4)Plan of Action. Once we evaluate the true reality and cut through the hype, and rhetoric and campaign promises of Obama we then need an Action Plan. What can we do and how to do it. What are you talkin bout, Herrick? We KNOW Obama. We heard what he wants, Why we need to do somethin! anything! c'mon, lets do it!! Do what? throw pebbles? Name call like the Liberals? Whine? Threaten? Great idea and I assure you you will loose again in 2010 and 2012 as we did in 2006 and 2008.

3) Leadership. Either someone from the ranks must step up, like Newt did in the 90's or we must find someone capable of providing real leadership. We controlled the Presidency and Congress till 2006 but Conservatism had no real leader calling the shots.

4) Part of what we can and should do includes but is not limited to what we all did for the Amnesty, Drilling and Bailout Bills. We need to keep the White House and Congressional switchboards swamped with calls about every piece of legislation, about every proposal.Same with emails and letters.

5) Thank God we can still use the Filibuster in the Senate. I predicted Dems would get 54-56 seats. They got 56. We will at least sometimes be able to block really bad Bills like the un-fairness doctrine. Here is where leaderdhoip in the House and Senate is more important now.

I have gone on enough. There is so much more to write about. I am sure between us all we will cover everything in side and out many times over. The point of this Post is that all is not lost. We will prevail. Conservatism is not dead. America WILL survive, they will NOT be able to destroy her! and 2010 is only two years off.

We must be optomistic. We must control our emotions so we can control OUR destiny, not them. We must Act not just react. We must stand for our principals and not give in where it counts but we also must be realists not ideologues. Opposition for the sake of being obstinate will get us no where.

This evening I plan to e-mail my Congressman, Gus Billirakis a Conservative Republican in Florida who thank God was re-elected and congratulate him then ask him just what HE plans to do to lead on Drilling, opposition to un-fairness doctrine, and all the other issues we hold important and to be a part in finding that Leader or leaders our movement needs to retake Congress. A very very small start but at least a positive ACTION. As I said before, my Party suffered a loss but I and WE have not been defeated! We will carry on. We will regroup and end up stronger  and more disciplined more true to our principals. I would like to thank everyone I have met here since I started this Blog in July (seems like 4 years not 4 months ago!) for being Great Americans. I am proud to call you friends including those of you I have disagreed with and have disagreed with me. At least we are not like the Liberals. We can disagree but respect each others opinions and right to disagree. It is people like you all that keep me optomistic about our movement and the future of America. God Bless you all and God Bless America!

A TIME FOR REFLECTION - AND ACTION

We have lost a battle, yes a major one, but we are defeated ONLY if we let ourselves be! I for one will not let anyone defeat me and I know most of you feel the same. What we need to do is take a deep breath and let out the emotions and take stock of what has happened, deal with it and move on to the next battlefield, the next hill to conquer. It is 1:00 AM. I am drained. I will post my thoughts on all this sometime during the day, I hope. Good night all, God Bless and God Bless and Keep America
PS  8:52 AM  Franken has been defeated! GOOD a bright spot and as I predicted Dems got no more than 56 votes so in most cases they cant bust GOP filibuster.

NO MATTER WHO WINS AMERICA WILL PREVAIL!

I have wrestled all day with what I would write for a pre-election post. The obvious would be to give my prediction as to who will win.
For the most part I have been optomistic about John McCain's chances. I have encouraged others to also not give up., So who do I now say will win? I haven't a clue!

I know all the polls and hear what the pundits are saying. I really can not say who will win with conviction so I won't. Suffice it to say I will eagerly vote for McCain-Palin as soon as the polls open down here in the Sunshine state - the land of hanging chads and recounts! In 2000 and 2004 I was in New York. It was never a surprise how NY would vote so I find being in a battleground state and the state that was at the heart of the Bush-Gore fiasco a unique experience! For once my vote just might make a real difference! I know!I know everyone's vote ALWAYS makes a difference.

I and others have for months railed against the policies of Obama and what they will do to our economy and social structures. My views on these has not changed but what has changed is our awareness of just what Obama wants to do with out the hype or guessing or partisan wrangling. In his own words Obama has said he wants to "spread the wealth around." It now comes out his energy policies could bankrupt the coal industry and skyrocket our electricity costs!

Joey The Clown Biden, he of foot and mouth disease, let loose just how they feel about taxes. They believe it is our patriotic duty to welcome higher taxes. Obama;s tax plans originally called for higher taxes for those making MORE than $250,000 a year, then $200,000 and $150,000 and now Bill Richardson a top member of Obama's inner circle says $120,000. Do I hear $80,000? how bout $65,000?

You are probably thinking ok, so what? we know all that and that is why we are so upset about a possible Obama Presidency. I am too but these and other revelations while confirming what we already suspected give us in their own words, amo to use against these very policies. No more can they hide their true agenda under flowery and obfuscating words. We have been forewarned, by THEM. the secret is out! We and others will be more vigilant. We will react sooner and more forcefully if and when they start the process of implementing their agenda.

America will be the real winner. Yes, even IF Obama wins. How the heck can ya say that? Have you gone soft on us? McCain has a real chance to pull this off but I am  speculating on IF Obama wins. Americans this year have become more knowledgeable . We united by the millions against the Amnesty Bill, in favor of Drill here drill now, and against the bail out bills. We weren't always successful but we WERE heard and did have an effect on the final outcomes. We need to build on this and IF Obama wins and Dems maintain control of both Houses we must flood and jam their e-mails and phone lines till they hear us. We as citizens have the RIGHT and DUTY to let our Reps know how we want them to vote.

Conservatives have finally, I believe learned hard lessons on spending and scandle and pork and becoming too intrenched in the beltway and not sticking to our core principals. This is a good thing for Conservatives and America. Win or loose, November 5th begins the campaign to retake Congress. We have had the specter of the un-fairness doctrine thrust in our faces and we realize just how precious our freedomms are and how vulnerable and we will NOT allow them to be eroded any more than they already have!

We are in the midst of a housing meltdown, credit collapse and financial debacle. Even the Obama people now say expectations must be lowered, translated this means "I won't be able to fulfill all my promises." It may take a year or more before the economy recovers enough for him to begin to raise any taxes. By then We WILL retake at least one House of Congress.

I am still optomistic. Not an election, not Barack Obama, not Liberals, not Socialists, not Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Schumer et al can take that from me...or YOU..or America!. WE will prevail...America WILL prevail!

I will predict this much. Democrats do NOT get the magic 60 votes needed to end debate. They get tops 54-56 seats in the Senate.

Finally I WILL make a prediction after all on the Presidency. McCain by the slimmnest margin...BUT I am not betting the house on it!

VOTE LIKE AMERICA DEPENDS ON IT-SHE DOES!
                                     VOTE MCCAIN-PALIN!

OBAMA CLAIMS HIS ENERGY POLICY WILL SKYROCKET ELECTRICITY COSTS!!

BREAKING ELECTION NEWS!!   In an interview with the San Francisco post last January played Sunday night on FOX's Hannity & Colmes Show, Barack Obama, talking about his Cap and Trade Energy plan said if  someone wants to build a coal  plant they can but they will be bankrupted by his Carbon credits. He also says his energy plan will cause electricity costs to skyrocket!

This is an amazing interview. I do not know why it has not surfaced before but this can effect voting in states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, etc etc!. Too bad it is Sunday night before the election as not much time to get this out and some have already voted but I hope McCain and the GOP are now producing Ads with these quotes.

He tells Joe the Plumber he wants to spread American's wealth around, now we hear he will bankrupt the Coal industry and cause our energy costs to skyrocket. Americans are having enough trouble paying mortgages, health insurance, property and school taxes, gas etc etc and Obama talls us HIS plans will skyrocket electric rates? He claims to be for the little guy, the middle class. This only shows he is for the far left environmental global warming left wing socialist fringe! His policies will not only bankrupt the coal industry, they will bankrupt the average American!
