Two weeks into his Administration and already Obama is in trouble.He took office with an 80 percent approval rating, coming off an election that he won decisively.
We were in the midst of a horrendous meltdown of the banking and mortgage industries, which then brought down the Auto industry. Americans awaited the Hope and Change they were promised. They waited for the Messiah to take the reigns and turn the economy around. They waited for the new era of Lobbyist free appointees. They waited for the cleanist Administration in history.
They are still waiting. On all fronts Obama has fallen short. As he himself said regarding Tom Daschel, "I screwed up!"
Every President arrives in the Oval Office with a certain amount of Political Capital. Obama arrived with a truck load. They must guard it and spend it wisely. Not Obama!, He is spending his capital as fast as the Dems in Congress can load up the current Spending Frenzy Bill with Pork.
Already his numbers have come down to earth, currently in the low-mid 60's. A majority of Americans either do not want this Spending Bill passed or want major changes to it. This should have been a no brainer. Come into office, create a bill, almost ANY bill that would begin to stimulate the economy and halt the forclosures and he would look like a the Messiah his followers thought he was. What happened instead is he let Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid write the Bill and what they came up with even many Democrats admit is a terrible bill. It contains every Liberal dream program from the last 40 years that they were not able to get through normal means.
The So called Stimulus Bill should have been the cornerstone of his first term. Almost ANYTHING would have made most Americans happy - at least they would see he was in charge and had a plan to turn things around. Instead we get talk and more talk, and blame Republicans for holding things up. We get probably the worst piece of legislation in my lifetime. Senator Graham is right in his scathing rebuke today of Obama's lack of Leadership.
Even Joey The Clown Biden can be right sometime and he was during the Primaries when he said of Obama, "The Oval Office is no place for On the Job Training!" Even the dispicable and totally clueless So called President Jimmy "the Failure" Carter, the Pro-Hamas, Pro Terrorist, anti Isreal Carter didn't screw up this early in his Administration!
The Spending Frenzy Bill is not the only failure so far. Starting with Bill Richardson, he now has at least 4 appointees who have either withdrawn or are under a cloud. Three for tax problems including the new Secy of the Treasury! He promised no lobbiests and then a week later has to write waivers for 17! Now there are rumblings about Leon Panetta and fees he got for speeches to financial institutions and Security Companies.
In the midst of all this Obama is reduced to reminding everyone that "I won." If you must, two weeks into your term, remind everyone you won you are in BIG Trouble. Leadership does not come with the job it is earned. Either you have it or you do not and Obama has shown he does not!
What about the International scene? So far he has managed to get Iran's Amabigawackjob to declare that Obama's policies show America's weakness! It is one thing to mess up domestically but a screw up on foreign affairs will cost American lives!
B. Hussein Obama is floundering. His failures to hold firm the reigns of Government has put this Country in even more danger than it was. The twin perils of Economic collapse and terrorism abroad and at home just might be too much for the one whom Hillary Clinton said would bring to the office only "a speech he gave in 2004" Obama better learn fast he cannot vote Present any more. NOTHING is above his pay grade. He cannot control "Stretch" Pelosi, Harry Reid, Bawney Fwank, et al... How does he expect to stand up to all the dangers this Nation faces? How does he expect to lead when he doesn't know where he is going or how to get there.
